NEWS:Due to PacifiCare PPO not covering depressive disorders or any other serious mental illness (Bipolar, Schizophrenia), I will no longer be seeing PacifiCare patients.  Always be aware of the diagnoses that your insurance may or may not cover.

There are several reasons why seeing a LPC Intern can be beneficial to you.  Go to the Bios page to see the reasons.

Out-of-network Benefits

I will gladly check your insurance company for your out-of-network benefits.  Often times the reimbursement rate may be up to 70% of the client's out-of-pocket expense.  Since I charge competitive rates, often times the reimbursement rate brings the client's fee back down to what his/her usual co-pay would be had I been on that insurance panel.  It should also be noted that many insurance companies contract out their mental health benefits, so I may be on that contracted panel.  For example, BCBS may contract their benefits out to United Behavioral Healthcare.

I am not on Medicaid/Medicare, CHiPs, NorthStar, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Unicare, Value Options, MHN, PHCS, or TriCare.  If you have BCBS, please check to see how your mental health benefits are processed; BCBS will contract out its mental health benefits to other companies that I am a provider for, such as United, or Aetna.  Another option is to see one of my interns for a rate that may be close to your co-pay amount.

I accept cash, check, or credit cards for payment. Payment is due at the time of service.  There is a $2 surcharge added to all credit/debit transactions to help offset the card and bank fees.
